The project reimagines the old structure with clean lines, muted tones, and minimalist interiors. Natural light flows freely through open layouts, while carefully chosen furniture pieces bring balance and calm. Each element has been curated to blend timeless heritage with contemporary living—where old-world charm meets modern comfort.
This premium apartment in the heart of Kolkata reflects a vibrant and contemporary aesthetic tailored to the lifestyle of a modern family. Designed for a mother of two and a working professional, the interior blends functionality with a lively palette to create a warm, inspiring home.
To restore the lost charm of an existing neighbourhood parlour by upscaling it’s ambiance and services, to attract the young crowd, a complete redesign of the space was necessary. Within the 450 sqft floor space, three zones were created – innermost zone having therapy rooms & toilet with maximum privacy, outermost zone having styling stations & waiting area with maximum visibility & the middle zone having pedicure and shampoo stations having lesser visibility & some privacy. This was effective to pull in new clients and provided necessary privacy where required. Additionally, two convertible pods were created for private bridal makeover services. Besides, departing from the commonly used model photos & graphics, hand-painted artworks are used to portray ‘beauty’ through the traditional imageries of wellness and self care.

Executed by The Aangan Story, this end-to-end commercial interior design project transformed a bare-shell property into a lively, highly functional, and brand-aligned space. Featuring a quirky, youthful, and clean design style, we successfully navigated the challenge of building a high-impact brand identity within a remarkably compact schedule, delivering the fully finished space strictly on time.
